In 1975, India launched it's First satellite Aryabhata. Later in 1980, Rohini satellite was launched into space using India 's first indigenous rocket SLV-3 marking a major milestone.
Major Achievements of ISRO

1. Chandrayaan -1 (2008): India 's First lunar mission which confirmed the presence of water or the Moon.
2. Chandrayaan -2 (2019): Although the Vikram lander crash - launched, the orbiter continues to function successfully.
